New: Accessorize Nail Polishes

New: Accessorize Nail Polishes
New: Accessorize Nail Polish in Heavenly

So I've been a little busy and these Accessorize nail polishes* are no longer new new, but they're definitely still worth blogging about. Many people seem to be surprised when I tell them that Accessorize dabbles in beauty, although the really savvy amongst you might know that this isn't the brand's first foray into polishes. It is, however, the first time they've packaged them in little glass disco balls. And that makes all the difference.

First impression? The colour choice is amazing. I only photographed a few of the samples sent to me, but believe me when I say you'll be stumped trying to pick only one colour to wear. There are a tonne of pastels and nude tones, but there's also a glitter shade for every occasion. A few of my favourites are Olive Garden (pale khaki green), Lalala Lilac (pale purple), Ballet Shoe (light coral), Misty (very light grey) and Petrol (dark plummy purple). The colour on my nails in the photo above is Heavenly, and it's a cool, ice blue that I imagine I'll be donning a lot in the early months of next year.

I've found the formula and staying power varies from shade to shade, although generally each polish lasts for a decent amount of time and only needs two coats. They're reasonably priced at £5 each, which I say is reasonable considering the hefty size of each bottle. All in all, not bad for a company known for jewellery and seagrass flip flops.

Have you tried any of Accessorize's new beauty range?
