What's In My Festival Wash Bag

Festivals are undoubtedly one of my favourite things about UK summers and on Friday I'm happy to be heading back to Secret Garden Party to cram in a couple days of fun with my uni friends. Every year there's always the question of what to bring, so this time I thought I'd share some of what I'll be taking with me in my wash bag.

It goes without saying that tweezers and dry shampoo are both a must. You might not have showered in four days, but groomed eyebrows and semi fresh looking hair mean no one will be none the wiser  (assuming you managed to get rid of the smell of that bottle of beer (or was it piss?) chucked over you from the day before). I know using face wipes is a cardinal sin for a blogger, but running water is a luxury at festivals so Boots Essentials Moisturising Wipes will have to do. These inexpensive wipes are great because they remove all eye makeup and leave skin feeling soft and hydrated. Afterwards I like to slap on some Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion because it's an intense moisturiser that never feels heavy or greasy. Late nights and lack of sleep mean my eyes always feel like they're about to shrivel up by the time it gets to Sunday, so this year I'll be packing Optrex Rehydrating Eye Drops* to help tackle dry eyes. For my body, I find travel sized moisturisers are just never enough. I'll be bringing my Garnier Intensive Nourishing Cocoa Butter Lotion because not only is it a fantastic lightweight moisturiser, but it's also just the right size for a few full body applications. Finally there's L'Occitane's Hydra Vital Face Mist, which is a refreshing and cooling mist that's perfect for when you wake up in a hot and sweaty tent. Granted, it's a tad luxurious for a festival and not exactly a necessity, but after the unbearable heat of last year's summer I thought I should err on the side of safety and chuck this into my wash bag.

It'll be quiet from me this weekend because I'll be in a tent in Cambridgeshire a lot of the time, but I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! Let me know if you've been to any festivals in the comments below!
