Clinique Pop Lip Colour in Beige Pop

After seeing the review Kate from gh0stparties.com posted of these little lipsticks a while back, I knew I had to get my hands on one of them to see if they could live up to all she had to say. Intense pigment, moisturisation and staying power for only £16? Is that even possible? Last week I had some money to spend on my Boots advantage card so I decided to be bold, brave and daring and pick the very tame and neutral Beige Pop to test the Pop Lip waters with.

I was soon pleased to discover that the Clinique Pop Lip Colour formula really is all that it'd been hyped up to be: super creamy, buttery smooth and extremely nourishing on the lips. You'd think this would affect the staying power, but the colour somehow lasts for hours without managing to budge. As you can probably tell from the swatch on my arm, these lip colours are also extremely pigmented. If you prefer a subtle look, you can easily dab a little on and then build it up for more intense colour.

Before applying any lipstick I like to use my LUSH lip scrub and a lip balm to try and eliminate any signs of dryness, but most lipsticks nevertheless often tend to settle in the cracks of my lips after an hour or two. With this lipstick, however, there are no tell-tale lines to be seen on my lips for several hours and that gets a big thumbs up from me. I'm also a massive fan of the packaging because you can tell in just one glance what shade of lipstick is rolling around the bottom of your handbag, which is something a lot of other high end brands haven't cottoned on to yet.

Beige Pop is a highly wearable nudish pink that I can already tell is going to be an everyday staple for me. The Clinique Pop Lip Colours come in a huge variety of shades, from corals to deep berries, so there's an almost overwhelming amount to pick from. Don't take that as me complaining, though. I can honestly say that I can't wait to buy another shade (or four) from the range.

Have you tried any of the Clinique Pop Lip Colours?
