It's been a busy, busy few weeks for me to say the least. I've handed in my final ever uni assignments and am now living a life in terrifying limbo between carefree studentdom and adulthood. I'm trying to make the most of every minute while I'm up here in Leeds so blogging has fallen slightly to the wayside, but a few weeks ago I was sent this La Roche-Posay Makeup Remover Micellar Water Gel* to review and it's quickly become a best friend to my alcohol-ridden (sorry Mum) and tired skin.

This gentle cleansing gel is best for normal to combination skin types and you simply apply it onto wet skin and let the micellar water do all the work for you. It's soap free, alcohol free and colour free so it's extremely gentle and feels almost like water. Like other micellar water products you don't have to rinse it off, but I usually like to splash some water over my face after so my skin feels extra clean. It is very slightly drying, but it's perfect for my combination skin and nothing that a little moisturiser after cleansing won't solve. It removes eye makeup too, although I tend to use an oily eye makeup remover beforehand to prevent excess rubbing and smearing mascara all over my face.

My skin feels completely cleansed and free from blemishes since I've started using this Micellar Water Gel and I've been really impressed. I'm heading off to Morocco in a couple of weeks and I just know I'm going to fry like an egg, so this cleanser is coming with me because it's the only one I'd trust to be kind enough to my burnt and peeling face.

Have you tried the La Roche-Posay Makeup Remover Micellar Water Gel? You can buy it online from Escentual here for £12.
