Bath Heaven: Creightons Vanilla Macadamia Bath & Shower Cream

Creightons Vanilla Macadamia Bath & Shower Cream

Stress levels are high in Leeds right now. Dissertations are being dissertated, the libraries never sleep and everyone hates you if you say 'Nah, I'm not that worried about work. How about you?' One day when I was in my home away from home (the library), my friends surprised me with this little treat as a pick-me-up and for that I'm eternally grateful. I'd never heard of Creightons before, but you can find them in budget friendly places like Morrisons, Home Bargains and Iceland. I've seen prices for this particular bath and shower cream vary from £1 to £2.49, so you'll be happy to hear it's not going to cripple you with debt.

It's possibly the most glorious thing I've ever smelt. I've used a lot of various bubble baths and shower gels in the past and haven't felt the need to blog about them, but I couldn't pass this one up. It reminds me of vanilla and cookie dough, or perhaps brown sugar, but the best thing of all is that it's not too sickly or sweet and the scent lingers for ages on the skin after stepping out the bathroom.

It also doubles up as a bubble bath and a shower gel. As shower gels go it's fairly runny, but it lathers up nicely and leaves skin soft. Despite not having a bath in my uni house, the smell was so incredible that I went to my friend's house and jumped in their bath to try it out and it was magical. All. Worries. Gone. Never underestimate the power of a good bath to relax your mind and body.

Are you stressing out over work right now? Why not turn off the lights, light some candles and pour yourself a hot bubble bath tonight? Or, if you're like me and don't actually have a bath, why not find some poor sod willing to lend you theirs for the evening?
