My Winter Skin Saviour: Dr Jart+ Platinum BB Cream

Dr Jart+ Platinum BB Cream Review

Dr. Jart+ is a Korean name that only made an appearance in the UK a couple of years ago, but since its arrival I've used nothing else when the dry winter air hits my skin. I've gone through squeezy tube after squeezy tube of the stuff and I know that this one won't be my last either.

This is their Platinum BB Cream and I've yet to come across any other product like it.  Many BB creams I've tried from other brands are glorified tinted moisturisers, but this is actually something different. It has the coverage and staying power of a foundation, but all the moisturisation of a tinted moisturiser. You only need a tiny amount, which comes out of the handy squeezy tube like a very thick paste - I've been told it looks like I'm painting my face when I first put this stuff on. While this can be pretty daunting at first, you'll quickly find that it magically blends to the perfect amount of coverage and leaves no visible tide lines, despite there being only one shade to pick from. If you're worried about this being too pale, it blends out to match your skin tone after a few minutes. Skin looks evened out, dewy and airbrushed, plus it's moisturised all day meaning no nightmarish dry or flaky foundation patches.

I can't imagine using anything else as a daytime base over the winter months when my skin is prone to dry patches. It's not cheap (but equally not extortionate) and a tube of the Platinum cream will set you back £22, although if you couldn't tell already I think it's well worth the money! I've tried all four of their beauty creams over the years and the Platinum and Regenerating ones are my favourites, although truth be told I find there's very little difference between the two except for the Platinum one being slightly paler and thicker. Have you tried any Dr. Jart+ BB Creams?
