Beginnings of a LUSH Collection

Beginnings of a LUSH Collection

Beginnings of a LUSH Collection

I'll be honest and say that I've always found LUSH an overwhelming and almost unpleasant shop to go into. The ones I've been to are always crowded, there's always SO many products crammed onto shelves and the packaging is hard to distinguish between and has a font that's a little hard to read. Phew - it feels good to get that off my chest.

The other day, however, I was sent a LUSH shower gel as a giveaway prize and I instantly fell in love. Apart from their Mint Julips lip scrub, this was the first LUSH product I'd tried and I was fairly impressed. I then happened to be in Reading quite late so had the shop almost to myself and the freedom to spend ages picking up a few things that I liked the sound of. I'm not quite a LUSH convert, but I'm getting there.

Yes Yes Yes Massage Bar - Using this moisturising bar is like dipping your head into a fresh bouquet of flowers while simultaneously coating your body in body butter. I'm not sure how pleasant that sounds, but it's pretty nice. This is mostly made of cocoa and shea butter so it's super moisturising, while the jasmine scent is amazing. If you put this on before bed, you'll wake up smelling like a floral dream. You can pick one up for yourself for £5.95.

The Kiss Lip Scrub - I love LUSH lip scrubs and I've already written a post on their effectiveness here. This is part of their limited edition Valentine's range and smells subtly of bubblegum, and it contains cocoa butter and natural oils that make your lips baby (and, dare I say it, kissably) soft. This one is also made up of quite a lot of salt too, so, despite the adorable addition of hundreds-and-thousands, it doesn't taste particularly great to lick off. It's available for the next month or so and costs £5.50.

So White Shower Gel - The Reading store had a huge collection of these in their Sale section, so I managed to get the 250g size for half price at £4.48. If you live near Reading then pop in and pick one up! It's got a refreshingly sweet apple scent that reminds me of spring, which is unusual as it's part of the limited edition Christmas range.

Rose Jam Shower Gel - I was sent this by the lovely Gill as a blog giveaway prize. It has a really soothing yet refreshing rose scent and is packed full of oils that make your skin super soft straight out of the shower. Unfortunately you can't buy the shower gel any longer, but you can pick up a bath bomb with the same scent or the Pearl massage bar that smells identical.

I've got enough shower gels to last me a long while, but once these run out I'm sure I'll be back late one weekday evening and smelling all LUSH has to offer once more. What's your favourite LUSH product?
