Vaseline Limited Edition Queen Bee Lip Balm

Vaseline Limited Edition Queen Bee Lip Balm
Vaseline Limited Edition Queen Bee Lip Balm

I'm a sucker for cute packaging and anything with 'limited edition' thrown on it (marketing, eh?).  Vaseline have brought out their fourth limited edition lip balm just in time for the stuffing of Christmas stockings, and it smells great.

I'm always wary of petroleum jelly because it doesn't moisturise but instead creates a protective barrier over the lips. While this sounds great on paper, it means that petroleum jelly has to be continuously reapplied in order for it to be effective. As a dry lip sufferer, I often find that my lips need a bit more help in the winter time so Vaseline is just one of many lip balms floating around in my pockets. Queen Bee is simply plain Vaseline with a honey scent and no other ingredients added, so if your lips are extra dry or flakey I'd recommend something more effective.

Having said that, the smell really is delicious. I'm a big honey fan (my coffee always has to have a spoonful in it) so I couldn't resist. Also I find their tins are the perfect size and weight for carrying around in big winter coat pockets, and with this year's bold yellow packaging you certainly won't lose it.  I like to use my LUSH lip scrub before applying Vaseline for really soft, smooth and protected lips. You can pick it up here for £3.99.

Have you seen or tried this limited edition lip balm yet?
