L'Oréal So Couture Christmas Gift Box

L'Oréal So Couture Christmas Gift Box

Today I went to Boots to pick up some more of my all time favourite mascara, and I realised that it's that time of year just before Christmas when every makeup brand is trying to get their 'stocking stuffers' out there and into the baskets of festive shoppers. Luckily for me, L'Oréal's offering includes not only the amazing So Couture mascara, but also 3 other full sized iconic products.

You can get this gift set when you spend over £14.99 on L'Oréal cosmetics (challenge accepted) and it contains no miniatures but only the real deal's, which is great. There's the Volume Million Lashes So Couture mascara, Color Riche Kohl Liner in Snow White, Color Riche Nail Polish in Exquisite Scarlet and Color Riche Lipstick in Scarlette Crème. These shades are limited edition and can be tricky to get hold of again once the gift set's gone, which is a shame as they're all gorgeous.

The lipstick and nail polish are a very similar shade of bold, orangey toned red. The lipstick applies so easily and is probably the most moisturising lipstick I've ever worn. However, this means I strongly recommend lining the lips before applying if you want to avoid bright red lipstick smeared all over your face after a meal or - even worse - after a kiss. The eye liner is pigmented and applies easily, with decent staying power to make tired eyes seem awake for longer. Finally, I can't believe they included a regular sized So Couture mascara in here but I am very very happy about it. You can read why I love this stuff so much here.

Brands like Max Factor and L'Oréal have seriously upped their gift-with-purchase game this year, as there's not a miniature in sight and the threshold spends aren't exactly high considering the regular prices of their products. So if you're looking for a present for a sibling, parent or yourself I recommend having a look at the gifts on offer in Boots for yourself.

Does it sound like you'd want to try any of these? Have you been lured in by any gifts with purchase this Christmas?
