Now Playing / 2

I thought I'd make this a monthly feature on the blog, as music is such a big part of my life and I'm always wanting to talk about it. This month was special because I got to see two of my favourite artists, George Ezra and Jungle, live in a very small venue in Leeds, so I've put them in the lineup for this month.

First, here's a little something to put on every Sunday and slowly wake yourself up to. An oldy but a goody.

So the lyrics might be a little out there (Gonna paw paw at you like a cat paws at my woollen jumper?), but alt-J aren't exactly known for being boring with their creative choices. Their first album will always have a special place in my heart as I listened to it on repeat in my first year of  university, and I'm pleased to say their second album is just as great - particularly this song.

I saw George Ezra last month and he is hands down one of the best live performers I've ever seen. That voice. That face. That guitar. Got a sense of humour to boot. Anyway, I'm quite clearly in love, but this was one of my favourites of the night because of the beautifully simple chorus that everyone sang along to. But listen to the rest of his album as Listen To The Man and Cassy O' are just as amazing.

I also got to see Jungle, who were very very very good. In front of the stage felt like a club - everyone was dancing. It's hard to describe their music to someone who hasn't heard any of their tracks before, but I wanna say they have an electronic disco feel that is literally impossible not to move your head along to. Time, Busy Earnin' and Platoon are my favourites.
