CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEAS / Winter Scents

John Lewis Winter Spice Candle and Greenhil & York Diffuser

Continuing on with the Christmas gift idea posts, I thought I'd share some of my favourite winter scents that suit every budget. Not only are these easy presents that will happily find a place in any home, but they're all ideal for your own house too if think you deserve a treat or two.

Why save the best till last when I can start with it first? Pictured above is the John Lewis Medium Winter Spice Candle, and my love for this £15 candle has already made itself pretty evident if you follow me on Instagram. The orange, cinnamon and clove scent makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside, plus the packaging is rather fantastic. John Lewis offer a whole range of different sized candles in this scent, from £8 - £24, so make sure you get a whiff next time you're in store.

Also pictured is this Greenhill & York Cranberry Clove Reed Diffuser, which I actually picked up in Tesco for only £10. At this price I was expecting to smell some strong chemicals, but I was very pleasantly surprised to find that this diffuser makes a room smell delicately like mulled wine. The expensive looking glass bottle and simple gold top are also a win for me.

Ah, the classic. The White Company Signature Winter Candle is the perfect 'What do I get for them?' present. It's a fairly safe option and costs £20, but will always continue to be a popular choice because of the simple packaging and subtle orange, cinnamon and clove scent.

The Jo Malone Pine & Eucalyptus Christmas Diffuser is the priciest of the lot at £54, so you might want to save this one for someone really special. Instead of the usual cinnamon and clove mix, it's a refreshing pine scent that diffuses from some rather striking black reeds.
