Now Playing / 1

Time for a little self-indulgent post now... I thought I'd share the music I've been listening to on non-stop repeat lately. This is a slightly depressing round up of music I'll admit, but it's been cold and hasn't stopped raining for the last week and that's evidently influencing my music taste. Embrace it.

This one's off Ben Howard's new album, which has yet to drop, but believe me I'll be the first to get my hands on it when it does. This one's particularly great (those vocal harmonies in the chorus are literally 'mmmm'), but what else can you expect from the king of acoustic?

I saw CARIBOU at Bestival this summer and he was absolutely phenomenal. I've never seen a crowd so silent and still, completely entranced by the music. This track might seem a little repetitive at first, but part of its magic is its simplicity.
This is probably the most upbeat off the list. Chet Faker has a unique, drawly voice that I absolutely love - and the riff/clap combo at the beginning is impossible not to nod your head along to.

The first time I'd ever heard of James Bay was when he played the Radio 1 Live Lounge this September, and when I did I immediately bought his EP. He has a voice that melts in your ears, and a mane of hair so impressive that I'm almost jealous. Be warned - this song is particularly emotional.
