Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Review

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Parfait

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Parfait

Chanel's Rouge Coco Shine range is an interesting one - not quite a lipstick, not quite a gloss. These 'lipshines' sit somewhere half way in between the two, which means they're hydrating for your lips but far from sticky. They're perfect for finishing off and enhancing a simple, everyday makeup look and giving your natural lips are bit more summin' summin'. However as the pigmentation is so minimal, you get the staying power of a gloss. So yes, you'll be constantly reapplying throughout the day. But what I really love about these is the fact they're a stick and not a wand or tube of gloss, meaning that reapplying is a doddle without any sticky messes. They also last a decent amount of time, which is definitely something I want to hear if I've got to fork out £25 for every new one.

Unfortunately the colour I'm wearing, 'Parfait', was part of a limited edition collection and is no longer available, but you can see the sheer effect of the lipshine in all its glory. It's a shame because the gold shimmery tones of 'Parfait' catch the light beautifully and really jazz up your natural lips. 'Boy' is a permanent shade that's a very similar soft pink and still available to buy now.

Have you tried Rouge Coco Shine? What did you think of the formulation?

    1. Thank you! Yeah I actually originally wanted to buy Boy but it was sold out so opted for this shade instead as they're so similar x

  2. These do look stunnign, but I'm more of a long-lasting lip product person. Reapplying too much drives me insane! For £25 I don't think they're worth it, but worth it for people who aren't too fussed about that. xx

    1. I definitely agree - if they didn't last for ages then I wouldn't really consider buying it for the price. Revlon's lip butters are a good (and much cheaper) alternative :)
