Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer

Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer

I never used to consider a foundation primer as an 'essential' item. I don't think many people do. Whenever my friends see me use this they ask 'What does that do? Why? You paid HOW much?'. Yes yes yes it is pretty pricey, but Laura Mercier is worth it. After several months, I'm down to the bottom of this tube and will be buying a new one again pretty soon. So what does it do? In short it gives your skin and entire face a subtle glow (perfect for when you're tired), while at the same time holding makeup in place for hours and hours.

My fear before buying this primer was that radiance = sweaty. Luckily a quick swatch will prove to you that the glow is sheer and subtle, highlighting all of the parts of the face you want to be highlighted and forgoing any oily appearance. I apply a decent blob all over my face using my fingers and blend downwards onto my neck. I let it sit and dry for a while before applying foundation and concealer. Once I do, my foundation glides on easily and stays put for ages. I have quite noticeable smile lines in the corners of my mouth and often foundation emphasises these creases, but with this primer it takes much longer for those creases to appear.

My one complaint is that the smell isn't great.. It sort of reminds me of chalk. But don't let that put you off, seeing as it leaves makeup looking freshly applied all day. However be careful because you could turn out like me and have a new, expensive 'essential' item to repurchase every few  months!

Coconut Oil: The Wonder Product

LucyBee Coconut Oil

It's been a while! I've just got round to finishing my second year at university so am only now finding the time to blog. And I thought I'd get back into it by sharing something cheap but very very useful -coconut oil.
