NARS Multiple in Copacabana

NARS Multiple in 'Copacabana' (£30)

I'd heard of the NARS-exclusive 'Multiple' before but had never really bought into the whole multi-purpose idea. Having tried, tested and miserably failed with products like Benefit's benetint and chachatint, I didn't think me mixing products and facial features again would bode very well. With all this in mind I went to the Harvey Nichol's beautycrush event, yet the counter assistant managed to just make it work. She used a combination of Multiple's as bronzer and highlighter and the finish was absolutely flawless. I was so impressed that I forked out the £30 for Copacabana and boy was I happy.
While this particular shade is too light and frosty for lips, a highlighter makes an enormous difference and this one was too good to pass up. I've tried the likes of MAC's Cream Colour Base - which is similar in cream texture - but this is much easier to apply, creamier to blend in and has a more natural looking finish. The 'glistening pearl' finish is slightly pinky toned on my skin rather than white so it can be used lightly in the daytime and then built up for the night. The stick is also the perfect shape for the tops of cheek bones which makes application a doddle.
My only criticism? The price is a bit much for something which I pretty much exclusively use on my cheek bones and down the centre of my nose. Also - as much as I may disagree - a highlighter isn't exactly an essential purchase for many people who would rather spend their £30 elsewhere. However if you're looking for a creamy, easily blendable and luxurious highlighter I'd say NARS is the way to go.

Estée Lauder Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher

Estée Lauder Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher 30ml (£40)
This post has been a long, long time in the works! I bought this product back in November and have been using it twice a day, morning and night, everyday since then. Everyone rants and raves about Estée Lauder's Advanced Night Repair Serum and I've used it myself and found it was great for smoothing skin and reducing breakouts, but thought I'd give the less-hyped Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher a go.
