Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Liner

Before & After Rimmel Waterproof Kohl Liner in 'Nude'
I must admit I was expecting a lot from these eye liners. I mean come on, they'd even been likened to Urban Decay's 24/7 Eye Pencil which is like the king of all eye liners! So they had a lot to live up to and I'm afraid they didn't quite cut it for me.

The Nude is a bit too orange for me and barely lasts for longer than a couple of hours. It's still not bad though - I did like that it didn't colour my lower lashes (unlike Benefit's Eye Bright) and it's a bit less glaringly obvious than a white eye pencil. However this means it also doesn't make a huge difference when it comes to 'brightening' my eyes.

The Black is also a bit of a mixed bag. It's a very intense, deep black which I love. It also lasted for hours on the waterline under my upper eyelashes and on my hand after swatching but then on the lower waterline it smudged off in the inner and outer corners very quick. This left me with a very strange looking black bob in the centre of my waterline and a black under-eye.

All in all? I'm not sold. I don't think anything can beat Urban Decay's 24/7 Eye Pencils and I'd be willing to pay triple the price of these Rimmel pencils for an eyeliner which is guaranteed to last. The biggest no-no for me was the fact the black smudged under my eyes in less than an hour and made me look like a giant panda which has been punched in the face. Did they work for you? Or do I just have a waterline which most 'smudge-proof, water-proof' eye liners seem to hate?
