MAC Cream Colour Base

I bought MAC's Cream Colour Base in Pearl a long while ago but I still put it to good use, which shows how popular this little highlighter is with me. I used to use Benefit's High Beam but eventually gave up after I found it too difficult to rub and blend in over foundation. This, on the other hand, has a more creamy and less liquidy texture, making it far easier to apply and blend.

However if applied from the pot it is very noticeable, which makes it great for going out but not so much for everyday. I mostly apply it on the tops of my cheekbones using either my fingertips or a Real Techniques contour brush, or if I want a really dewy look then I also apply it to my upper lip, nose and forehead. What is great about this though is the fact it is so blendable. It can easily be mixed with a foundation to create a subtle, luminous glow all over the face. Although it is marketed as a 'multi-use' base, I found it completely dried out my lips and creased on my eye lid straight away, even with a primer.

Despite this I would definitely recommend this product, especially as an alternative to Benefit's High Beam.
